Choose the Right Control
Manual power control and automatic temperature control are different
Select the exact size and variation first. Then check the product image, whether the cord has a controller, the specifications and the included manual.
Six-level digital controller
The six levels also regulate heating power rather than an exact surface-temperature setpoint. The controller defaults to level 3; a full unplug resets it to the default.
No manual controller
The current D2515–D2518 core family uses a built-in automatic thermal system. Product information lists 100.4–107.6°F (38–42°C); actual surface readings vary with room temperature, coverage, pressure and time.
Quick identification: first check whether the selected variation shows a controller on the cord. If its images and written specifications conflict, contact PetNF before purchase instead of guessing.
Outdoor-Ready Safety Structure
Protection comes from the materials and the structure working together
These design choices add a margin of protection, but they do not replace careful cord routing, routine inspection or immediate shutdown when something looks wrong.
SJTW outdoor-rated cord + steel sleeve
An SJTW outdoor-rated power cord is protected by a steel chew-guard sleeve along the pet-accessible section. It resists everyday chewing better than a simple plastic tube, but no cord is chew-proof.
Dual-layer ultrasonically welded PVC
Two PVC layers are ultrasonically welded into a sealed pad body. Do not market or use the complete electrical product as an immersion device; keep the plug, controller and connections dry.
V-0-rated material
The material is selected to reduce sustained burning and flame spread. It is not a promise that failure is impossible. Smoke, yellowing, charring, odor or abnormal hot spots require immediate disconnection.
Gentle Warmth, Not Human-Style Heat
Why a pet heating pad should not simply feel “as hot as possible”
A hand touches the pad briefly; a pet may rest against it for a long time. The design goal is controlled, gentle warmth—not a short burst of intense heat.
More heat is not automatically better
Long contact changes the risk. Older, sleeping or mobility-limited pets may not move away quickly when a surface becomes uncomfortable.
Touch alone can be misleading
An uncovered pad may feel only mildly warm. Coverage and pressure change how heat builds, which is why a weighted function check is more meaningful.

How to check for normal gentle warmth
A pet creates coverage and pressure while resting. A quick touch on an uncovered pad may underestimate the warmth that develops in use.
This is a function check: it helps confirm that the pad produces gentle warmth under simulated resting conditions.
It is not precision temperature measurement: touch does not replace a calibrated instrument.
Lay the pad flat and turn it on
Start automatic control or choose the appropriate power level. Never fold or roll the pad.
Add a flat test load
Place a flat object measuring about 27 × 20 cm (approximately 10 × 8 in) and weighing 1.4 kg (about 3 lb) on the pad.
Wait 20 minutes
Keep the environment stable and keep any controller off the heated surface.
Remove the load and check
You should notice gentle warmth. Disconnect immediately for no heat, abnormal hot spots, odor, smoke, yellowing, charring or deformation.

A 2.4GHz WiFi outdoor heated pet pad is on the way
PetNF plans to introduce a new outdoor heated pet pad using a Tuya solution, 2.4GHz WiFi and local control. The Tuya WiFi module carries FCC certification; that statement does not mean the complete pad is FCC certified as a finished product.
