Two PVC layers are ultrasonically welded into a sealed body. Keep the plug and controller dry and do not use the complete electrical product as an immersion device.

Why PetNF outdoor heated pet pads are built differently
A true outdoor design considers moisture, cord damage, prolonged pet contact, temperature behavior and everyday cleaning—not just the word “waterproof.”
Yes, an outdoor heated pet pad can be an excellent indoor choice. Its outdoor-ready cord, sealed pad body and protective materials remain useful in indoor pet beds, garages and resting areas.
Real-World Use Since 2020
Long-term use keeps driving practical improvements
Since 2020, more than 100,000 PetNF outdoor heated pet pads have supported warmth in pet-family care settings. This wording is based on product units sold, not a deduplicated household count.
Outdoor-Ready Structure
Four structural choices work together
Protection is not one feature. It comes from a sealed pad body, outdoor-rated wire, physical chew protection and flame-retardant material.
An outdoor-rated SJTW cord is covered by a steel sleeve along the pet-accessible section. It reduces chewing damage but cannot make a cord indestructible.
Selected to reduce sustained burning and flame spread. It does not eliminate every failure mode; smoke, yellowing or charring requires immediate disconnection.
A removable cover improves comfort and simplifies routine care. Always unplug before cleaning and follow the included instructions.
Three Control Paths
Automatic temperature control is not the same as manual power control
Choose the exact variation first, then check its image, controller and instructions.
No manual controller
The current D2515–D2518 core family is listed at 100.4–107.6°F (38–42°C). Real surface readings vary with ambient temperature, coverage, pressure and operating time.
Low / Med / High dial
The dial changes power output. It is not a closed-loop thermostat that precisely sets the surface temperature; printed temperature markings are references.
Six-level digital controller
The six levels also regulate power, not a precise surface-temperature setpoint. A full unplug returns the controller to its default level.
Why Gentle Warmth Matters
The goal is controlled warmth—not the hottest possible touch
Pets may rest against a pad much longer than a hand touches it. A responsible design considers duration, stability and abnormal-heat risk.
“Not warm enough” may be a testing problem
A quick touch on an uncovered pad does not reproduce a resting pet's coverage and pressure. Use the 20-minute weighted function check first.
“Hotter” is not automatically better
Prolonged contact with excessive heat can become uncomfortable or harmful. Heat output must be balanced against long-contact conditions.
A Better At-Home Check
The 20-minute weighted warmth check
Use a flat object of about 27 × 20 cm (approximately 10 × 8 in), weighing 1.4 kg (about 3 lb), to simulate coverage and pressure.
Use the selected variation's instructions.
Place the object on the heated area.
Keep the room and settings stable; never place a controller on the pad.
Look for gentle warmth. Disconnect for no heat, abnormal hot spots, odor, smoke, yellowing, charring or deformation.
Coming October 2026
The next step: a 2.4GHz WiFi outdoor heated pet pad
PetNF plans to introduce a Tuya-based WiFi model with local control. The Tuya WiFi module carries FCC certification; this does not mean the complete pad is FCC certified as a finished product.
